Modern fiction often depicts Iga and Koga ninja as mortal enemies. However, historical records like the ‘Iga Koga Ikki-cho’ tell a different story. Geographically, only a single mountain range separates the two regions. In reality, they often formed alliances (Ikki) to protect their independence from outside lords. They shared information, technology, and sometimes even families through marriage, forming a powerful ‘Ninja Corridor’ in central Japan.
現代のフィクションでは、伊賀と甲賀は宿敵として描かれることが多いですが、『伊賀甲賀一揆帳』などの歴史資料は異なる真実を伝えています。地理的に見ても、二つの地域を隔てているのは一つの山脈に過ぎません。実際には、彼らは外部の領主から独立を守るために、しばしば同盟（一揆）を結んでいました。情報や技術を共有し、時には婚姻を通じて家族ぐるみの付き合いを深めるなど、中部日本に強力な「忍びの回廊」を築いていたのです。
